New student loan repayment thresholds

Increased thresholds. New earnings thresholds apply for student loan repayments for paydays on or after 6 April 2022. HMRC has published details of the increase limits for loan plan types 1 and 4, they are:

• Plan 1 - £20,195 (up from £19,895)

• Plan 4 - £25,375 (up from £25,000).

The earnings limits for Plan 2 and postgraduate loans are unchanged from their current levels.
